Blue Ink, Quiet Bloom

Blue Ink, Quiet Bloom

I’ve been exploring a visual direction that sits somewhere between ink painting, fashion illustration, and dreamlike character design.

With this series, I didn’t want to simply make a “beautiful ancient woman” portrait.
I wanted the figure, the fabric, the ink flow, the branches, and the empty space to feel like they belonged to the same breath.

The palette stays restrained — pale blue, soft black, muted gold — while the silhouette remains delicate and calm.
What interests me most is that tension between control and accident: clean facial details against loose brushwork, quiet emotion against moving ink, softness against contrast.

I was trying to create something elegant, airy, and slightly untouchable — like a memory fading on rice paper.

Would love to know which version feels strongest to you:
the softer atmospheric ones, or the darker high-contrast ink variations?
