Midjourney’s extreme overprotection of sexualization of feminine people.

I think it’s wild that Midjourney won’t let you create a picture of a woman in panties and a bra. And it even gets finicky about bikinis and such.

As a straight woman, should I be able to create these things because I am making art not for the sexual nature? What is the point in protecting this realm of portrayal of women?

I feel like there is an issue in this moderation, but like they say, it’s not a democracy.

Personally I am trying to get inspiration for my walk in closet. I am simply trying to tell MJ to hang some bras and panties over here and it will not do it. Half the time it says moderation error, half the time it just gives me not what I asked for.

Women can exist, and their undergarments can exist, without it being inherently sexual. Women can dance without it being performative for men. They can exist in something cute and minimal without it having to be for the gaze.

I do not understand the moderation of such content on MJ. Do you think it is justified to moderate it so heavily?
